We don't charge for providing a quote providing  we don't incur any costs other than time and travel

We are competent in many DIY jobs around your property. It is important to us that you are happy and we are proud of what we do. We won't take on jobs I am not comfortable with, or confident we can complete to a high standard. We am not qualified to complete Electrical, Plumbing or Gas work, but as we get to know other Tradespeople we will happily recommend someone we trust. Ask, we can always say no.

Payment preferred by Cash or Bank transfer please, but if it is more convenient for you arrangements can be made for credit and debit card payments

We love to help people out, but do need to make a living too, so we will charge a minimum of an hours labour, and maybe more if the job involves a lot of travelling. We will always discuss this with you prior to starting the job

We have contacts with other trades people so I can always arrange help if a job requires a second person. 

Whichever suits you, having said that if we are with a customer, driving, etc we might not answer the phone. We both tend to pick up emails in the evening and endeavour to get back to you as soon as we can. There is a 'Get in Touch' option at the the bottom of the main page of my website if that is easier for you

If it is a lengthy job that will stretch over a few days, then the more notice the better. For odd jobs, just give me a call and we will fit you in as soon as I can

If we need to buy materials we may well ask for a payment for the materials ahead of the job and the balance paid on completion. We make little or nothing on the cost of materials, so if you want to source/order and pay for materials to be delivered to your property prior to the work commencing, that is great. Happy to advise on this prior to you placing any orders.

We quote for jobs based on a hourly rate, and will be happy to provide a written quote or agree a fixed price before work commences.

I answer to either, amongst others! Most people call me James, but Jim was easier for the business name and website address. My old Scout leader still calls me Jamie! Lynsey prefers Lynsey, not keen on being called Jim or James ;-)
